Would like to look into get into Technical Product management and I can see two options:

  1. To get more technical experience and then move to a product role
  2. To get into product role straightaway. What paths would you suggest?

Iā€™d suggest analyzing why you want to get into TPM. Why PM? Both fields are about solving problems to meet customer needs. As a PM we tend to be jack of all trades. There is no limit to how much technology we can learn. I would suggest pursuing PM then learning technical on the side.
