I have heard that lot of startups leave money on the table by offering a low price or even charging nothing.

We’re currently exploring the pricing model for our business, but I haven’t been able to find any great pieces on how other companies arrived at their pricing models.

What are the best reads on understanding pricing? Help appreciated.

Here are my favorites

  • Read most of the stuff ProfitWell writes. It is by far the best content I have found on pricing. They have a lot of stuff it is easy to get overwhelmed. They have a great pricing 101 eBook - I’d start there!
  • Reforge series on monetization and pricing

Agreed on Profitwell.

Highly recommend Monetising Innovation by Madhavan Ramanujam and there is also an accompanying First Round Review on the topic.

Founding Sales also has some elements of pricing in there.
