Pitching New Product to the Management

Any recommendations on a tried and tested simple template/deck to pitch new product(s) to management?

Two years ago I would have had a stack of recommendations. Now I’d say: before you look for a template, since you know the folks you’re pitching, start with how they make decisions. Maybe even a user interview if they’re willing.

On knowing your audience. One trick I’ll share is try to find a deck that your management team has used for all hands or has used to pitch to the board. Those will usually contain key components (e.g. lots of quant data or customer quotes) they find important and valuable. Reuse those components when pitching to them!

Think about what they want to achieve and frame the product to fit that vision - use their own words to describe what you’re proposing.
